  2 day six foot track mountain biking weekend
Join us in July for our 2 day Guided Mountain Bike ride on the famous Six Foot Track. We start our ride near Jenolan Caves and ride to Blackheath with one overnight stay in an Eco Lodge on the Cox's River where you'll enjoy a warm fire, a glass of wine and a delicious dinner. Enjoy spectacular view of the Blue Mountains escarpment for most of your ride on day 2 as well as you'll experience spectacular mountain ranges and panoramas of richly-forested valleys.  Limited places available - don't miss out!

This is Glamping at it's best!
Our packages include snack packs, breakfasts, smorgasbord lunches and delicious gourmet dinners such as fresh snapper, Thai Chicken curries , french crepes - plus much more, as well as refreshments and alcohol (beer and wine). All equipment is transported daily by our support vehicle. You'll stay in an Eco-Lodge at Coxs River with comfy beds.

the walk

Day 1:
We start our ride near Jenolan Caves and ride along the fire trail of Black Range passing through wooded country. Mainly down hills, explore all the side tracks to awesome look outs.We finish our day with a 400 metre fun downhill ride to Coxs River and our overnight accommodation.

Day 2:
We depart Coxs River and ride through the Megalong Valley enjoying spectacular views of the Blue Mountain's escarpment. We continue on to Megalong Historic Village, exploring the six foot track, crossing rivers and exploring side tracks with a big ride back up to Blackheath.

Train: Catch a train from Central Station Sydney to
Blackheath Railway station a short ride from the Ivanhoe Hotel.

Meet at 10.30am in the carpark at the Ivanhoe Hotel, Blackheath on the Great Western Highway (meet inside the pub if it is raining). We will organise carpooling from here to near Jenolan Caves. Look out for your guides who will be wearing a Life's An Adventure T'shirts.

what to bring

Please pack two bags, a small day pack to take during the day's ride and one overnight bag - which will be transported from the start of the ride to the lodge.

Your overnight bag should include:

  • Full weather gear needed as climate is variable
    that you can remove when you warm up
  • towel
  • swimmers
  • insect repellent
  • sleeping bag
  • torch
  • jumper and warm gear for night, scarf, beanie, gloves etc
    (It can be very cold here at night so please come prepared)
  • plate, cutlery and cup
  • any special medication
  • a pair of shoes to get wet
  • a pair of dry shoes
  • clothes & underwear
  • warm socks
  • band-aids
  • toilettries
  • sleeping sheet & pillow
  • Guitar if you feel like a sing-a-long

Your day pack should include:

  • hat
  • sun screen
  • sun glasses
  • camera
  • large bottle of water or a water container
  • waterproof jacket

And be prepared to have a good time

what to wear

Please wear comfortable lightweight clothes (no jeans)
wear a hat and good walking shoes for bushwalking.

what happens
if it rains

All Life's An Adventure activities take place in all but exceptional weather conditions. Conditions such as showers, rain, fog and windy conditions
do not affect normal operation of our activities.

Please bring a light weight wet weather jacket and warm clothing.
However  if the weather is extreme this event will be postponed to
another date. Pre-paid tickets will be credited to the new date or another
future event, sorry we cannot refund your money.

cancellations

IMPORTANT: Cancellations must be made 24 hours prior
to the start of an event. Bookings will not be transferred to another
date if you do not show up or cancel on the day, as events are
catered for. Your booking will not be transferred to another
date if it rains - transfers will only happen if Life's An Adventure
cancel the event because of extreme weather conditions- in which
case you will be notified by phone prior.

RIDING GRADE: Medium
This ride is graded as medium suitable for those with a good
level of fitness. It is 44km.
